Rancho Santana is Nicaragua's premier living community by the sea. A property with beautiful houses and spectacular sea views. We went surfing the waves of this beautiful paradise!

El Castillo 
A fortress made to defend Nicaragua from pirates and buccaneers. A real life castle overlooking the river. We even had a fast boat ride through the rapids!!

Our home in the San Juan River, Sabalos Lodge boasts "Tarzan's cabin", a large hut overlooking the river where you can stay in the middle of the jungle!
Tarzan himself would be green with envy!
San Juan River 
The Mighty San Juan River is Nicaragua's equivalent to the Amazon.
Brimming with wildlife and incredible sights and sounds, it is raw nature at its best!
Solentiname Islands and Artists Colony
At Solentiname we saw painters and sculptors from the island working on their craft.
Los Guatuzos Wildlife Reserve 
Home to hundreds of species of Fauna and Flora, we met face to face with caymans and trekked up to the canopy of the trees on a hanging bridge.
Granada 
The colonial city of Granada, lying by the shores of Lake Nicaragua, and peppered with more than 300 islands provided a fascinating experience of discovery.
Mombacho Volcano
We went up the mountain at Mombacho Volcano with our friend Dr. Patrick Werner, who showed us a great time exploring the cloud forest and looking at the weird and fascinating animals of Mombacho.
The White towns
In the picturesque town of San Juan de Oriente, home to the highly skilled Ceramic artisans, we had a quick lesson on making pottery, and visited Ave Maria University, the only American-accredited University in Central America.
Managua
Nicaragua's capital city. We enjoyed a thrilling ride on the Tiscapa Canopy Tour, 500 feet in the air over a beautiful Lagoon in the center of the city. We also visited the city's landmarks and museums.

We start filming ADVENTURES IN NICARAGUA 2 going to La Flor, to witness an "Arribada" of thousands of turtles!! It happens in few beaches around the world. It is Awesome!!
